Scuba diving in Gran Canaria

Highlights

• As a beginner diver, you will first get an introduction dive. This goes like this.
• They will pick you up from the place where you stay for the holiday and bring you straight to the dive center. In the dive center, they will explain to you how scuba diving gear works.
• Note: when you go for the first time for scuba diving, they will hold on to you in the ocean and control your gear.
• After they explain to you about the diving gear you will go to the ocean. Before you go to the deep waters you will go slow from the beach until the water is on your chest and, there you will breathe underwater for the first time.
• They do it for a time like this so you can easily switch your mind to breathing underwater.
• Now that you are comfortable with breathing underwater, you are ready to go to the deep.
• Your diving constructor will lead you to the deep.
• In an introduction dive, you will go a from5 meters to 12 meters deep.
• You will have a dive for around 30-45 minutes. After this amazing experience, you will go back to the diving center so you can have a nice shower to refresh yourself.
• After your scuba diving in Gran Canaria experience, you are ready for your certificate. This certificate is called the “Open water certificate“.
• If you enjoy the first dive you can opt for another dive aswell which will be given at discounted price.
• Also one can consider doing a PADI certification course of 3 days.
• Note: Some places on the island Pick & Dropoff to the hotel is Extra 5€/person.
